Hotel Le Phare - Ouistreham

The hotel was ideally located for our ferry trip, and the bistro served superb fish dishes that our kids enjoyed. The outdoor seating area was a hit with the family, where we relaxed while watching the ferries come and go.

My children wanted more child-friendly meal options.

You guys made my stay fine. I booked a room with a comfortable bed, central heating, a TV and a private entrance. The staff was efficient, just as I expected. The location of the hotel was unbeatable - within walking distance of Beach Riva Bella. And I was near restaurants and eateries.

The reception team was cute, ensuring a smooth late check-in. The budget double room was surprisingly spacious, with closets which you don't typically find in rooms of this size, and it was quiet despite being in a bustling area. Breakfast was a delight, with an unlimited continental selection that included fresh pastries, meats, and cheeses, all for just 9 euros each!

I really enjoyed the convenience of this hotel, just a minute's drive from the customs. The parking was right outside, made unloading luggage easy. The double room had a lovely view of the canal and lighthouse, and I found the space ample for our bags. The self-service breakfast, priced reasonably at 9 euros, offered a good variety of options to start the day. The bathroom was quite small, made showering a challenge, especially for anyone larger in size. The WiFi worked well in the reception area, but I struggled with connection in my room. Despite the busy location, noise died down by midnight was great. The restaurant served decent meals, though our room could use updating since it felt a bit tired in spots. I'd stay here again for the location and the value.

It was just a great match for exploring town in Ouistreham with excellent value for money. Enjoyed a very decent fish dinner, a highlight. Arrive early for breakfast if you want to catch it before heading out.

This hotel is good, and has free wi-fi, a cozy bar/lounge area, and a pleasant outdoor dining area. On my first stay, the staff recommended local delivery, which I still remember fondly. I highly recommend trying breakfast for just 9 euros. I'm definitely coming back next year!

Ideal for Ferry Travelers

The location is perfect, just a two-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The room was just right for a short stay, and I really appreciated the warm welcome and efficient check-in process. Breakfast offered good value with a nice selection that filled me up for the day. The only downside was the limited breakfast hours. I would have preferred an earlier start to enjoy a proper meal before heading out.
